Digital public services
Within the framework of Egyptian-German bilateral development cooperation, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Ministry of International Cooperation (MoIC), the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), and the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA), launched the Supporting e-Government and Innovation in the Public Administration (InnoPA) project, the Ministry of International Cooperation (MoIC), the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), and the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA), from February 2022 to January 2025, to create the institutional and capacity requirements for a citizen-centered, innovative, and digitally transformed public administration in Egypt. The project takes a multi-pronged approach to support the advancement of innovation and digitization in Egypt by addressing the following areas:
- Governance: to strengthen the organizational, regulatory and process-related framework to create a facilitating environment for digital transformation.
- People: Digital transformation management for users (citizens, civil servants,businesses) to facilitate the digital transformation in public administration for all usergroups.
- Processes: to improve the capacity of the government to provide digitalized, user-friendly citizen-centric public services.
- Public sector innovation: to develop the institutional and personnel foundations for innovation management in the public sector.
