Employment Promotion Project (EPP IV)

Egypt
GIZ, 2024 - 2026
Contract value: 1,120,855 EUR

The project aims to establish labour market demand-driven career guidance services that prepare technical education students, as well as students interested in technical education, for employment and dual education, particularly in the green economy. As the project is responsible for Output 5, it oversees the expansion of pre-orientation services and the institutionalisation of Transition to Employment Units (TTEUs). The goal of WP 1 is to improve the existing pre-orientation services and expand them to 17 schools in eight governorates in Egypt. The pre-orientation service will include awareness-raising on environmental topics and guidance on career prospects in the green economy. The concept of the pre-orientation service will focus particularly on capacity development and on identifying viable financing mechanisms to ensure future cost-effectiveness and sustainability. The objective of WP 2 is to develop a continuation strategy that ensures the sustainability of the functions of Transition to Employment Units (TTEUs) and the implementation of this strategy in line with the resources provided by MoETE. In addition, a tracer study will be launched to measure the effectiveness of the measures.
