TVET and employment promotion to support green transition of Mozambican economy
This GIZ-commissioned project, co-financed by the European Union (RenewableEnergy and Transport and Logistics) and by BMZ (ATVET), aims to strengthen labour market orientation and coordination of national TVET and employment policies in Mozambique across the sectors of Renewable Energy, Transport & Logistics, and Agriculture. Implemented under the umbrella of the GIZ PEPE project and the EUs SICEE programme, the intervention supports Mozambican institutions in enhancing inter-institutional coordination, aligning policies with labour market needs, and improving employability through private sector engagement. Target groups include key government bodies, training providers, private sector stakeholders, and young job seekers. The project is implemented by GFA Consulting Group as the sole contractor from December 2024 to December 2026 for Renewable Energy and Transport & Logistics, and from June 2025 to June 2027 for Agriculture. Implementation is focused in the provinces of Maputo, Sofala, Manica, and Nampula.
