Integrated water management information system for integrating climate change

GFA supported the newly established Water Resource Management Authority in Zambia to manager water resources at the local and national level. GFA provided organizational, thematic and IT assistance for the set-up of an Integrated Water Management Information System allowing for informed decisions about water allocation and sustainable water management. The GFA team developed hydrological balances and hydraulic models, analysed the effects of climate change on water resources, and developed suitable climate mitigation strategies and trainings. The water management plans was climate and gender proofed, and based on a new Integrated Water Resource Management Information System (IWRMIS).
