Integrating climate change in water resources monitoring

The project supports the newly established Resource Management Authority (WRMA) and assists in building and using an integrated water resource management (IWRM) information system to enable informed decision making on water allocation and sustainable water management. GFA supports the change management process of WRMA and the former Department of Water Affairs. GFA also provides IT support to WRMA and its partners to acquire, exchange and manage water resource information. The project team supports the development of IWRM plans and strategies at national, (sub-)catchment, and Water User Association (WUA) level that are gender-proof and incorporate climate change scenarios.
