Sustainable forest management for the Anhui province

The overall goal of the project is to improve the ecological, economic and social values of forests in China through the introduction, establishment and institutionalization of national and international Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) standards into policies and administrative procedures of the Chinese forestry sector. More specifically, the project aims at developing and implementing operational SFM approaches for Anhui province and other provinces within the Southern SFM program through the management of pilot areas in seven project counties according to the SFM principles through operational forest entities.
