Protected areas in the Caucasus

The program helps improve the management of natural resources and protected areas (PAs), as well as the socio-economic situation of adjacent rural communities. GFA provides development planning advice to selected PAs and local communities. This includes raising awareness of conservation efforts and investing in the socio-economic development of support zones. GFA experts assist in human-wildlife conflict management and co-management system development, as well as in designing sustainable financing solutions for national PA systems.
