Capacity development of Congolese civil society organizations

The project aimed at developing the capacities of Congolese civil society organizations (CSOs) in playing a role as key actors in the sustainable development and inclusive growth of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Safeguarding CSOs’ visibility supported the project’s overall objective, namely to contribute to the entrenchment of democracy in the DRC. Related measures strengthened Congolese civil society and focus on the promotion of dialogue and trust building between citizens - particularly women, people with disabilities, and young people - and public authorities. Specific fields of intervention were citizen participation, promotion of workers rights, and consumer rights.
