Mobile employment agencies for the rural population
The project aimed at enhancing the employability of the rural and peri-urban population in pilot provinces. It specifically targeted the promotion of jobless and underemployed young people and women. The objective was to improve the employability of the rural and peri-urban population of the pilot provinces in selected sectors (e.g. water, energy or sustainable tourism).
Fields of activity were:
- Specification of employment potentials and qualification needs;
- implementation of employment-oriented vocational qualification and labour-market interventions;
- upscaling of (mobile) qualification services for the rural and peri-urban population.
The scale-up strategy provides a methodological guide and an account of the experiences and lessons learned for scaling up the concept of Mobile Employment Agencies (see PDF EN/FR).
