Simiyu Climate Resilience Project
The Simiyu Climate Resilience Project is financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the German Government through KfW, and the Government of Tanzania. The Ministry of Water (MoW) will act as the Project Executing Agency (PEA) and is responsible for steering and monitoring the project. The project aims to increase the climate resilience of rural and urban households in the Simiyu Region by improving water supply, sanitation, and agriculture, as well as enhancing policies and regulations for cross-sectoral climate adaptation.
To implement this project, the support of two consultancies is required to assist the PEA:
- Management Consultant (MC, Lot 1) to the Ministry of Water (MoW), focusing on contract management, implementation monitoring, capacity development within the MoW, and the establishment of holistic, inter-sectoral strategies.
- Implementation Consultant (IC, Lot 2), focusing on project implementation, including the development of concepts and infrastructure, assistance with the operation of implemented investments, community-driven approaches, and capacity building.
