Program for the promotion of primary and secondary education (BEPA)
Objective of the programme was to improve individual, organisational and institutional conditions for strengthening the quality of education in primary and secondary schools at national level. The GFA component "Introduction to the world of work" aimed to develop a concept for vocational orientation and to familiarise students in lower and upper secondary grades with the world of work. Our main task was to provide recommendations for a national roll-out of a subject in General Education in vocational orientation and career guidance.
Therefore, GFA built up support structures and capacities at national, regional and school level to implement and pilot a concept of a HERFA+ subject in 12 pilot schools that included also extra curricula activities (e.g. job fairs, in-company visits, visits to vocational schools).
