The GIZ Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion program applied a value chain development approach to five agricultural products in order to improve the private sectors capacities in food security and employment in Northern Afghanistan. GFA had been fostering technical, organizational and entrepreneurial skills of private and public actors along the value chains. GFA experts assisted GIZ in two other fields of activities, remediating local infrastructure and improving the dialog between private and public actors.
