Implementation of cooperative vocational training (Formation Ecole-Entreprise)
As part of the Senegalese-German partnership to promote reforms, the technical cooperation project "Support for the reform of vocational training in Senegal (RéFoP)" aims to improve the framework conditions for a formal TVET offer that meets the needs of the economy. The first axis of the project strengthens the steering capacities of public institutions in the sector, the second improves the cooperation mechanisms between the state and the private sector for a cooperative TVET, and the third axis accompanies the implementation of a formal cooperative training in selected professional fields. The projects supervisor is the Ministry of Vocational Training, Apprenticeship and Integration (MFPAI). The following main interventions are foreseen in the three axes of the project:
- Strategic advisory support to improve the steering and governance of the TVET sector
- Strengthening of the collaboration between the State, the professional branches and the social partners involved in the TVET
- Support for the implementation of the School-Business Training (F2E) approach in high potential economic sectors
