Skills Development for Youth Employment (SKYE)
The Skills Development for Youth Employment (SKYE) Program has been implemented by GIZ since 2018 in order to improve opportunities for income-generating employment for Nigerian youths. In order to have the best possible leverage, the program combines activities of labour demand (private sector development), labour supply (TVET / skills development) and matching (Active Labour Market Measures - ALMM) – thus emphasising an integrated approach to employment promotion. Focal sectors are presently agriculture, construction, and industrial mechanics.
