Inter-company training with the private sector in Tunisia

Tunisia
GIZ, 2021 - 2023
Contract value: 1,399,300 EUR

The importance of quality standards is increasing worldwide, especially in the manufacturing industry. The call for clear rules on corporate social responsibility is becoming louder and louder. A quality label for vocational training in Tunisia would be another step in this direction, especially in sectors such as tourism, textiles and plastics processing, which are under constant international scrutiny. To meet this challenge, companies need to be adequately informed and trained about the certification process and its specific contents in order to participate in this process and ensure its sustainability.

The project "Inter-company training with the private sector", in partnership with the Tunisian Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MEFP), promotes the participation of business associations in vocational trainings. More specifically, the GFA-led component IV of the project aims to strengthen the role of business associations as quality assurers in vocational training.

In cooperation with public institutions, business associations and the private sector, auditors from business associations in the textile, tourism and plastics industries will be trained for the process of awarding committed companies with a nationally recognized label as "training-friendly" or "training company". Furthermore, the business associations are strengthened to educate their member companies about the possibilities of cooperative training and their social role in training young people.
