The project "TVET and Employment Promotion for Syrian Refugees and Host Communities in Turkey", funded by the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) aims to improve access of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Turkish citizens from host communities to technical vocational training as well as to labor market services. In the area of TVET, the project supports Turkish public TVET and private TVET institutions in the development and delivery of skills development and TVET courses as well as vocational Turkish language courses for the target groups. The project carries out professional development of TVET teachers and provides equipment to vocational schools. Furthermore, it conducts different activities in the area of employment promotion including entrepreneurship training, financial and business literacy courses, language courses, job placements and career guidance.
