Improvement of services regarding vocational education – AVETAE
The project focused on the establishment and the organization development of the new vocational education and adult education agency AVETAE, its steering structure and network and the establishment of cooperation with different stakeholders. VET schools’ headmasters have been trained to develop and implement school development plans. The project supported the reworking of the core curriculum, advised its implementation and supported the development of a budget model for the calculation of VET expenditures for vocational profiles. HR and organizational capacities have been supported at micro and macro level (schools, Ministry) by working groups who helped in reworking the core curriculum and carrying out trainings and adequate further education measures. The development of a strategy for the participation of the private sector in VET has been supported. The Chamber of Commerce has been advised in fulfilling the agency’s requirements with regard to the cooperation between the public and the private sector (e.g. assessment and certification standards).
