Caribbean Renewable Energy Development Program (CREDP), phases 1 + 2
GFA supported beneficiary countries in the definition and implementation of sustainable energy policies, with regard to the necessary legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks and in terms of developing economic incentives in support of such policies. The project strengthened or developed targeted capacity building schemes, if possible by taking advantage of the expertise and training facilities available in the region. In the area of project development, GFA offered resource assessment for RE (wind, hydro, solar, biomass), project identification, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, final technical design studies and the elaboration of tender documents. Moreover, GFA prepared and implemented a Communication Action Plan including communication events and dissemination materials and assisted in establishing a regional energy information network.
